Major Fight Breaks out at Eastside High School
Lancaster -- Witnesses called it a "racial riot" at Eastside High School Wednesday afternoon just prior to noon, when what is being called "a major" fight broke out between "black and Hispanic" students on the high school campus.
Witnesses reported that a fight broke between a Hispanic and African American Student which quickly escalated into a major fight.
Witnesses stated that one adult and two students were injured and that at least "12 Sheriff cars" were at the high school as well as the "fire department and ambulances".
One witness stated that they saw the injured adult being taken away on a stretcher and put into an ambulance.
Sgt. Mayhew of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Departments Lancaster station said that he "could not confirm" that the fight was race related and that he did not know if anyone was injured but did state that one juvenile "was in custody" for battery charges and the incident is being investigated.
